Timer / Pomodoro Timer

Pomodoro Timer — 25 Minutes, Shareable

The pomodoro technique is 25 minutes of focus, then a 5-minute break, repeated, with a longer break every fourth round. Start a single 25-minute block below, or use the auto-cycling panel further down to run the whole rhythm, breaks included, without touching anything between rounds. Share the link either way and your study group or team stays on the same clock.

Anyone opening your link right now sees exactly this.

Change the countdown

The board above is set to the classic 25-minute pomodoro for a single block, and you can change it on the board itself. For the full auto-cycling rhythm, use the panel below the board instead.

Opens the same countdown the code was made for.

CountLink is free, and one person builds it. If it's been useful, you can buy Bruno a coffee on Ko-fi.

Tip on Ko-fi

Auto-cycling focus and break, on every screen

This runs the classic rhythm on its own: a focus block, then a break, repeated, with a longer break every fourth round, the way Francesco Cirillo's original technique does it. Share the link once, at the start, and everyone's screen advances through the same rounds together; nobody has to restart a countdown between blocks.

Same mechanic as the interval timer and agenda timer: the cycle's start instant is the only thing the link carries, so every device works out which round and phase is "now" from elapsed time. There's no server and no viewer limit, and it's still correct if someone opens the link an hour into round six.

How to use the Pomodoro Timer

  1. For one focus block: set 25 minutes (type 25 00 straight onto the board, or tap the 25 min preset), then press Start countdown.
  2. For the full rhythm: scroll to "Auto-cycling focus and break" below, check the focus/break/long-break lengths and round count, and press Start auto-cycling pomodoro.
  3. Either way, press Copy sync link on the board and send it to whoever is working along with you; every device shows the identical round and phase.
  4. The auto-cycling version advances itself (focus, break, focus, break, with a long break every fourth round), so there's nothing to restart between blocks.

Common questions

Why 25 minutes?

That's the classic pomodoro length from Francesco Cirillo's original technique: long enough to get real work done, short enough that starting doesn't feel heavy. The auto-cycling panel's Focus field takes any length if your group prefers 50/10.

Can my study group all follow the same pomodoro?

Yes, that's the point of the shared link. Everyone opens it and sees the identical round and phase, so the whole group starts focusing and breaks at the same moments.

Does it auto-advance from focus to break on its own?

The auto-cycling panel does, all the way through your set number of rounds, with a long break every fourth by default. It uses the same start-instant-in-the-link mechanic as the interval and agenda timers, so there's still no server and no viewer limit. The single board above the panel stays a plain one-block countdown if that's all you want.

Can I change how often the long break happens?

Yes, the "Long break every" field takes any round count, not just four. Set it to 0 to disable the long break entirely and just alternate focus and short break.
